HISTORY OF ROTARY CLUB OF MULUND HILLS
In the Rotary Year 1986-87, in keeping with Rotary ideals, the Rotary Club of Mulund was advised by the then District Governor Rtn. Chandrakant Mirje to explore the possibility of forming a new club in Mulund.
G.S.R. Ramesh Motwani invited 27 leading professionals & businessmen to form a club. Thus, the Rotary Club of Mulund Hills (RCMH) was born.
Three Senior Rotarians from the Parent club P.P. Dr. Pratap Lilani, P.P. Dr. K. K. Agarwal, and late Dr. G. K. Thakker associated themselves with the new club.
The formal charter was signed in June 1987 during the tenure of R.I. President Mat Caparas.
Currently, RCMH has 48 members and represents a cross-section of society, businessmen, manufacturers, traders, advocates, chartered accountants, medical doctors, professors, trainers, software professionals, HR and media professionals, logistics managers and many more.
Members of the Club meet at Hotel Sitara every Friday at 6.00 p.m. Starting from a humble base 35 years ago, RCMH has now established a healthy image of Rotary in & around the community.
The community projects done by RCMH are the testimony of the commitment to the Rotary principles and ethos.
